World Tai Chi record attempt in Warrington

The Biggest Tai Chi Lesson Ever. For Breast Cancer Research.

Come and join us here at Warrington in a World record attempt of 40,000 people participating in this multi-location Tai Chi event across the United Kingdom, help enter the Guinness book of records, help fight breast cancer in this 30 minute fun packed, healthy Tai Chi lesson.

Re-Vitalise Tai Chi and Warrington Tai Chi Qigong Centre with other Tai Chi instructors throughout the United Kingdom are working to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer – a pioneering charity dedicated to the prevention, treatment and ultimate  eradication of breast cancer.  Breakthrough fight on three fronts: research, campaigning and education.  Their aim is to bring together the best minds and rally the support of all those, whose lives have been, or may one day be affected by the disease. The result will save lives and change futures – by removing the fear of breast cancer for good.

To do this, we are looking to break the existing world record with  The largest Tai Chi Lesson ever. On the 25th July at 11am, a multi-location Tai Chi lesson will begin. It will last for 30 minutes or more. However, for a 30 minute period the largest ever co-ordinated Tai Chi lesson will be happening across the UK.  It is timed with the WOMAD music festival, Wiltshire where one of the sessions will be led by the organiser of this world record attempt, Andy Spragg from Re-Vitalise Tai Chi. www.re-vitalise.co.uk (08000 191635)

The Chinese hold the world record for the largest Tai Chi event with 33,996 people. We are hoping to hit 40,000 people on the day and to raise £40,000 for Breakthrough and breast cancer research.

The Guinness Book of Records have confirmed that if we satisfy their conditions for confirming numbers, this will be a world record.

Participants are asked to contribute a minimum of £1 to Breakthrough and Breast Cancer Research. to make a donation, either give your money to the instructor on the day or go online at http://virginmoneygiving.com/taichirecord

So come along and join in with this World record atempt with what promises to be a memorable fantastic and fun event and remember you don’t need to have any experience of Tai Chi to join in, all ages all levels are welcome
